Cozumel is, without any doubt, one of the most beautiful diving destinations in the world. Its pristine waters -with a visibility of more than 40 meters (131 feet)- and its average temperature of 27 Celcius degrees (81 Fahrenheit) all year round, are only two of their attractions, not only for divers, but for any visitor in the island.
The reef in Cozumel is full of attractions that have survived and overcame nature's dashing. It's walls, such as Santa Rosa, San Francisco or Las Palmas, can be visited down to 30 meters (98 feet), tough they go on until they get lost in the deep blue.
The demi-deep spots of the reef, as is Chankanab Balones, show some fickle shapes of the coral that leave divers with the desire for more tanks to spend there. Its shallow waters, such as Paraíso or Yucab, are so full of life, that one dive it's not enough to completely admire them.
All these places are complemented with other spots equally beautiful as are Palancar, Tormentos and Paso del Cedral. And also are complemented with ship wrecks, which can be explore safely. In total, there are about 20 different and spectacular diving spots in Cozumel.
Diving in Cozumel with Playa Scuba is only $75 USD and includes two dives (one tank each), gear rental and transport in boat (you pay the ferry to get to and from the island). We first dive a deep place and then we dive a shallow place. For security reasons, we only take up to 6 divers per instructor/guide in each dive.
